On September 7, 2025, the 63rd edition of the Westerplatte Run will take place – the longest continuously organized 10-kilometer street run in Poland. This year’s edition of the event will bring significant changes, including a new route, the finale of which will be located at one of the most beautiful football stadiums in Europe – Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk.

The Westerplatte Run is an event with a unique character, combining history with a passion for sports. For over six decades, it has attracted competitors from all over Poland, offering them not only a sporting challenge, but also an opportunity to commemorate the heroes of September 1939. This year, the Gdańsk Sports Center has prepared a route that, for the first time in history, will run through the Tunnel under the Martwa Wisła – a unique place available to runners only during rare sports events.

New route

Traditionally, the race will start at Westerplatte – a symbolic place that encourages reflection on Poland’s independence and the history of our country and Europe. After the start, participants will not run towards the Old Town, as was the case in recent editions, but will turn towards the tunnel and then head towards Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk. The finish line located at the stadium guarantees extraordinary emotions, comparable to those that accompanied the Euro 2012 matches.
